Hi everybody -
Thanks for stopping in and for leaving your messages here.
There’s not much happening here at the moment, but we would like to post messages from the moms here in English (and French, of course!) There is a lot the moms want to tell the adoptees, but right now our language barrier is preventing that. Unfortunately my language skills are still very low.
In the meantime, please stop by the moms’ cafe online.

You might not be able to read it, but you can see that they’re active.
Anyone who is bilingual and would like to help get the moms’ messages out online, please contact me at jjtrenka @ gmail.com.
We are planning another signature drive after it warms up a bit. It will probably be a low-key kind of thing at subway stations around Seoul. The moms are aware of the Jade case (the KAD who ended up in foster care in Hong Kong) as well as Chaeli (the KAD who was killed in the U.S.) so we will appeal to the Korean government again to support single mothers. If you’re interested, please do let me know and I’ll contact you when we set a date.
You might also like to know that the moms have been going faithfully to Ae Ran Won and the Salvation Army single moms’ home to talk with the unwed mothers and also do volunteer work such as cooking and cleaning. They are meeting about once a month to strategize on their activism, as well as share advice on rebuilding meaningful relationships with their adopted sons and daughters.
Thanks all for your warm wishes for the moms.
Jane
